The have been through a lot...and they are back. A few years ago when they were being built they nearly sold out prior to the completion date. People love the idea of being right in the middle of things. 
Living in the lofts above the stores, restaraunts, and shops is about as close to as you will get in Atlanta to an urban Main Street.
So the story continues, the Atlofts hit a lot of delays during construction. So many delays in fact that most of the contracts that the developer had for the lofts expired and the buyers walked away to find another deal. Then more problem: the developer disclosed that there had been some water leaks in the building. The fix involved completely re-building the facade of the building.....now the remaining buyers still under contract (including myself) decided that this was just not worth the wait and they also walked away.
After millions of dollars in repairs to the exterior, the lofts have been back on the market. At the moment there are two foreclosures in particular that are a seriously good deal!
